canoe canadian style through one of the most beautiful and un-spoilt counties in the country. you will paddle along the river severn, which teems with wildlife and is the longest river in britain. winding through the county side, it’s the perfect opportunity to experience shropshire’s natural beauty. you will travel from bridgnorth to arley with a lunch stop half way through where you will have the opportunity to purchase lunch at the pub, or bring a picnic and eat outdoors. once you arrive at arley your return journey will be on the severn valley steam railway, which delivers you back to the train station at bridgnorth. once you arrive you will receive a briefing about canoeing techniques and safety issues, before you start with a six mile paddle to hampton loade. at this point there is a stop for about an hour for lunch. in the afternoon you continue downstream to arley, which is about 4.5 miles. you will then ride on the steam train back to the train station at bridgnorth which is 10 minute walk from your meeting point….
