The art of Stand Up Paddleboarding, or SUP as many like to call it, is a reasonably new watersport to emerge that combines fitness and balance with relaxing sightseeing in the countryside. On your introduction to SUP experience, you’ll have time to master the basics before heading out to the water where the fun really begins. During the session you’ll spend an hour perfecting your SUP skills and enjoying the stunning scenery of Stirlingshire. You won’t need to worry about getting chilly in the typical British weather as a warm wetsuit is provided, along with safety equipment including a helmet and buoyancy aid. The instructor will be on hand at all times to ensure your technique is correct, and offering advice if you get a case of the wobbles! After the initial demonstration and practise session you’ll find it’s fairly easy to pick up, and you’ll soon be floating down the river at a leisurely pace. Aside from building core strength, SUP has many health benefits from improving your balance to even reducing stress. Who knows, if it’s sunny you may even catch a tan at the same time! An Introduction to SUP is the perfect gift for someone who has tried it all and is always on the hunt to find an exciting way to get fit, as watersports make a great alternative to the gym – or an excuse to not go at all! Try something new this year with a group of friends or as a solo adventure in the Stirlingshire countryside….
