This Edinburgh sailing excursion is a truly exhilarating experience, and a fantastic way to send a day as you explore the Fife coast, visiting some of the famous bridges and picturesque islands that punctuate the waterway. The full day sailing experience begins at the Port Edgar Marina, where you will meet the crew for a full briefing and introduction to the sailing experience. Over a morning coffee, you will discuss all safety issues, as well as running through an itinerary for the day. You will be provided with everything you need for the sailing trip, including waterproof clothing, then it’s time to jump aboard and get ready to go! After departing the marina, you’ll head off under the iconic Forth Rail and Forth Road Bridges, before circumnavigating the islands ot Inchcolm, Inchmickery amd Inchgarvie. You’ll sail on to Inchkeith, where the boat will moor and you will enjoy your lunch. After lunch, you’ll make your way back to Port Edgar. Throughout the day, you will be encouraged (but not obliged) to get involved with the sailing – but if you prefer to, you can simply sit back and relax or try to spot some of the beautiful porpoises, seals and sea birds that call this river home!
