This helmet has all the essentials a commuter needs. An integrated light clip at the back allows you to snap your light to the helmet for enhanced visibility and the reinforced vent becomes a durable Lock Port so you can lock your helmet to the bike. Finally, this helmet comes fitted with Giro's MIPS system. With the MIPS system, there are three main components to a MIPS-equipped helmet: the EPS liner, the Low Friction Liner and an elasto attachment system between them. In an impact, the elasto attachment system stretches to allow the EPS liner to rotate independently around your head. The system moves just a couple of millimetres, during an impact. But that few millimetres of movement can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to your brain. In-Mold Construction In-mold construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet’s impact absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows Giro to sculpt better ventilation systems, so In-mold helmets can be lighter and cooler than traditional helmets. Cord Loc Fit System Cord Loc is simple, durable fit system designed to take the hassle out of fitting and wearing a helmet. By using a supple elastic cord fit band at the back of the helmet to provide adjustment, the system can be set with one hand while wearing the helmet.
